Madison Heath galloped away with the H&M Mistletoe Mini stakes in her final competition as a 128cm rider.
Six of the 14 riders jumped clear in round one to access the jump-off, with Madison in her usual speedy style on the equally eager Red Alert III maxing on her final draw to take the title by 0.32 sec.
"I just thought I'd go for it but I was wary of the double of uprights - we'd had them down in the past - but I trusted her to it," said Maddie, 12, who missed out on the 2014 and 2015 titles but made 2016 third time lucky.
Red Alert has been ridden by Maddie and her sister Bobbie for the last five years, and has already been purchased by Geoff Luckett for his children Isabella and Alfie.
It was all about the clock as five of the consistent six jumped clear again, with Isabella Snowden jumping into second place on Penchwintan Gynle.
They beat Rosie Collins into third on her Hickstead champion Bradmore Mystique by 1.47 sec.
Tom Francis-Jones and the wonderful Major Jack II – a regular in the big finals of 2016, including Hickstead and HOYS – claimed fourth.
Claudia Moore – another in her final 128cm year – took fifth with Peppino Il Grande.
And Alena Hughes stood sixth on Mathews Girl.
