Jamie Wingrove and Bart are in the mix in Lier
Jamie Wingrove slotted Helen Rees’ Lord Z/Levantos 10-year-old Bart VI into third in Lier’s 2* 1.40m section B grand prix qualifier on Friday. The pair finished 1.27 sec behind the winner, Benjamin Robert on Unfinity Bois Margot in the 63-strong class. Rose Moss and Carlos incurred four faults in the first phase to drop out of contention.
Rose claimed fourth in the 1.30m on on the eight-year-old Calida mare Caliva, finishing 2.40 sec behind the pace. Olivia Skinner posted clear and four with Cinderella IV for 14th place.
And Rose jumped into sixth in the five and six-year-old aboard African Affair, a Billy Congo five-year-old, almost six sec behind the winner. Jamie Wingrove guided the Carrera VDL five-year-old Genesis HB into a steady clear to take 22nd.
William Whitaker continued in the education of Furmint, guiding Ludwig and Yasmine Criel’s Ustinov seven-year-old into an easy clear to take 20th in the seven-year-old. Michael Potter did likewise to slot Just A Dream d’15 into 24th.
William eased the eight-year-old Lord Z Ilusionata Van’t Meulenhof into 15th in the 2* 1.40m section A grand prix qualifier. Julie Andrews on Ayrton and Beth Vernon with Lotus both returned four faults.
And Joe Clee took eighth in the 1.20m with the six-year-old mare Elize.
