Olivia Skinner wins on day one in Lier

Olivia Skinner scored handsomely on day one in Lier, Belgium, taking victory in fine style in the Equnews 1* 1.10m on Sir Henry VI, a Concorde 10-year-old. The pair finished 0.41 sec in front of their nearest rival, France’s Philibert Perraudin on Uzes De Beuvry.

Joe Clee pushed the six-year-old Darco daughter Kalimera ML into fourth in the five and six-year-old, 1.79 sec behind the winner. Rose Moss jumped a steady double clear on the Billy Congo five-year-old African Affair for 21st.

In the seven-year-old, William Whitaker eased Ludwig and Yasmine Criel’s Emerald Van Ruytsershof/Nonstop stallion Justin Van De Zanhoeve into 13th with a double clear. Michael Potter also returned a clean sheet on the Cicero Z sired Just A Dream d’15 to take 20th, just ahead of William and second ride Furmint.

Rose Moss finished in eighth place on Weston in the 2* 1.30m speed, the Rash R 13-year-old just 1.10 sec behind the winner. And Rose also took 11 th on the eight-year-old Calido daughter Caliva.
