Jonathan Dixon is second in Roosendaal

At Roosendaal, Holland, Jonathan Dixon claimed second in the 2* 1.35m on the Vleut nine-year-old Camona, finishing 2.04 sec behind the winner. Nicole Pavitt and the seven-year-old Unbelievable Darco stallion Gemmarco 16 posted clear and four for 16th and Louise Saywell eased Cordalis 7 into 21st.

Clear and four in the 1.40m dropped Annabel Shields with Carnoneybridge Challenger and Jonathan on Vintage Vee down to 21st and 24th. Ashlee Harrison and Zahra incurred four faults in round one.

Meghan Howard took eighth on Ullina De Caumont in the 1* 1.20m speed. Ashlee and Toupie De Quesnoy came home on four.

Seventy-seven took part in the world ranking 1.45m, but only 10 provided round one clears, with Britain’s Charlene Bastone best Brit with one time fault on the Couleur Rubin nine-year-old Chablis for 13th place. Louise Saywell had four faults on Feigtling.
