Nick Benterman hit form on day two at Keysoe, taking the 1.45m two-phase on the rangy 18hh+ Canyon Volo, galloping into an unbeatable lead in the 32-strong class. The pair won by 0.93 sec.

Tim Stockdale took second on Tornado Des Monts, a Flipper D’Elle/Narcos II nine-year-old with Phillip Miller more than four sec in arrears for third on the Moschino seven-year-old Roueltte H. British-based Irishman Trevor Breen slotted Bombay into fourth with day one’s winner Louise Simpson in fifth this time on Fiona V/H Lemnenshof and Madeline Allen taking sixth on Darcento VDL.

Ireland’s Luke Garrigan topped the 1.35m on the Verdi/Cavalier Royale eight-year-old MHS La Scala with just 0.07 sec to spare over Jodie Hall McAteer on Colette, a Vincenzo/Heartbreaker nine-year-old. Corrine Collins took third on the Madison 10-year-old Bugatti B with Jay Halim and Derby fourth, Dale Burnham aboard Deezie Katine Weering fifth and Emma Slater on Art D Usance in sixth.

Already a winner on day one, Rachael Connor doubled up with 1.25m and 1.15m victories. She commandingly landed the 1.25m on B Valeree with more than three secs in hand, the speedy 10-year-old Larino mare turning on a sixpence under Rachael’s guidance. Dale Burnham was second on the Calido/Darco nine-year-old Calinka VH Maarlo Z with Julian Mincher and the Mr Darcy 10-year-old Risk It in third. Trevor Breen and Zooey took fourth with Tracy Priest fifth on Caruso D’Eres Z and Jodie Hall McAteer sixth on Dazzle.

Rachael also topped the 1.15m on day one’s winner, Lottie III. Rachael was in definite speed mode, the Oklund 13-year-old outpaced all to win again with more than three sec to spare. Bryony Ward eased the College Chapel/Night Shift 15-year-old Scholarship into second, relegating Gessica Gusi into third on Ambosell I, an 11-year-old by Silverstone. Georgia Sims took fourth on Clearways Angelina, Tori Twite claimed fifth aboard Galway Brogan and sixth was awarded to Charles Richard on Pebby Role Model.
