John Whitaker was in flying form in Stockholm with the equally enthusiastic Argento, continuing on their recent successful streak by taking victory in the opening 4* 1.45m two-phase. The 14-year-old Arko stallion son made short work of the track, winning by 1.25 sec. The pair recorded recent wins in Doha and Stuttgart earlier this month.
British-based Swede Angelie von Essen returned to her home country to take second with the Converter/Indoctro 10-year-old Newton Abbot in the 18-strong class.
John also claimed fifth in the 1.40m with Echo of Light, the Come On/Contender 11-year-old finishing three sec behind the winner, Italy’s Emanuele Faudino on Incas Big Think in this two-phase class.
Fiona Breach claimed sixth in the indoor cross country on the Harlequin Du Carel/Cruising seven-year-old Kilcannon Harley Cruise. Tom McEwen took 10th on Diesel, Harriet Dicken was in 13th aboard Dargle Looks and Abi Walters finished 15th on Winsome Control. And this quartet finished fourth in the team indoor cross country competition, won by Germany.
