Alex Gill is best Brit in Mijas


Alex Gill was best Brit in the age classes on the Costa del Sol tour, Mijas, taking third in the seven-year-old on the Billy Congo-sired Billy Fraulein, 0.83 sec behind the winner. Alex also claimed 16th on the Chacco Blue/Vechta mare Billy Holly Blue with clear and four, and Steven Franks took 23rd on Amethyst on four and one time fault.

Steven eased the Kannan-sired Kan Do into sixth in the six-year-old with a double clear, finishing two sec behind the pace. Jamie Gornall was also double clear for 11th on the Contendro stallion Count Codex, and Lucy Townley jumped for clear and four on both Billy Pringle and Billy Dorito for 15th and 16th.

One time fault in the second phase dropped Emily Llewellyn and the Widney Mr Bullseye to 16th in the five-year-old. Laura Robinson jumped for clear and four on Millfield Cornelious to take 18th and Emily on second ride Balenciaga returned clear and five faults to take 21st.
