Scott Brash is second in Equita Lyon on Hello Guv'Nor


Scott Brash eased the 11-year-old Hello Guv’Nor (Diamant De Semilly/Papillon Rouge) into second in the 5* 1.50m two-phase at Equita Lyon, France. A total of 52 contended the class, with Scott finishing 1.08 sec behind the winner, France’s speed merchant Patrice Delaveau on Leontine Ledimar Z HDC.

Germany’s Tobias Meyer claimed victory in the Longines grand prix on Cathleen, beating Ireland’s Darragh Kenny and Go Easy De Muze into second by 0.72 sec in the 14-strong jump-off. Billy Twomey jumped clear in round one but returned an uncharacteristic 16 faults in the jump-off on Diaghilev for 13th. John Whitaker came home on five faults in round one on Echo of Light to be out of the running.
