Eat, win, sleep, repeat - Richard Howley maintains his form in Mijas

Richard Howley maintained a 100% record on the Costa del Sol tour, Mijas, repeating his seven-year-old win just 24 hours later on the Clintissimo sired Carpe Diem Z. They were on sizzling form, finishing 2.74 sec ahead of their nearest rivals. Four faults in the six-strong jump-off dropped Alex Gill to sixth on Billy Fraulein. Alex also took 10th on Billy Holly Blue with five faults in round one and Richard was 13th on Lord Boy and 16th with Epke.

Nine double clears equalled a hotly contended six-year-old with Steven Franks best Brit in sixth on the Kannan sired Kan Do. Lucy Townley was seventh, eighth and 11 th with Billy Penny, Billy Pringle and Billy Dorito with Max Routledge ninth on Freezing Rain and Jane Davies in 12th on the home-bred Cipriani.

Emily Llewellyn eased Mr Bullseye, a son of Eidney, into fourth in the five-year-old, 1.18 sec behind the winner. Laura Robinson was a fraction behind on the Cornet Obolensky stallion Millfield Cornelious and Emily on second ride Balenciaga took eighth. Olivia March and Dartmoor Morining Mist finished 12th.
