Harriet Nuttall is in the money in Vilamoura
Harriet Nuttall was best Brit in Vilamoura’s 1.45m, taking eight on the Romanov/Lux eight-year-old Galway Bay Jed, just over three sec behind the winner in the two-phase class. Jessica Mendoza had clear and four with Wan Architect to drop down the line.
Philip Spivey eased Tracey and Greg Forrest’s Diamonat De Semilly eight-year-old Darya I Nur into sixth in the 1.40m speed, finishing seven sec behind the winner. Ireland’s Darragh Kenny took first and third on G Andiamo Rodeberg and Picolo. Jude Burgess took eighth on the Ugano Sitte/Heartbreaker eight-year-old Comeback De Fremis with Jessica in ninth on Zahra and 17th aboard Jonker Van Sombeke.
Philip took fourth in the 1.35m on the Contender 11-year-old Virginia 188, two and a half sec behind the pace. Georgie Crumley on Renkum Centre Star and Jessica with Constance jumped steady clears to finish down the line.
Barry Dove and the eight-year-old Debbie netted fourth in the 1.10m. Jodie Caudle and Blue Skyliner had four faults in round one for 10th.
