Anna Power is second in a hotly contended class in Canteleu, France

Anna Power and Chesterfield Z went all out to win in the 3* 1.40m in Canteleu, France, and were denied by victory by the slenderest of margins – just 0.04 sec. Belgium’s Koen Vereecke took the win on Fidaura Van Het Polderhof. Steven Franks also posted a double clear to take ninth on Abdul Aziz in the 53-strong class. Four faults dropped Guy Williams and Casper De Muze out of the running.

Steven on Carlow Cruiser and British-based Irishman Michael Duffy on Belcanto Z bowed out of the six-bar at 1.95m with four faults apiece, but their efforts were sufficient for equal third.

Guy claimed eighth on the Verdi seven-year-old Santa Cruz in the 3* 1.35m accumulator, scoring maximum points but finishing five sec in arrears.
