Holly Smith leads the way at Bucks County
Holly Smith hit form at Bucks County, taking the top two places in the Bucks area trial on two Irish-bred eight-year-olds for a £1,650 pay packet. Lammy Beach proved the quicker for the top spot with Quality Old Joker in second.
Tim Page claimed third on Justin Skinner’s Duc D’Arsouilles with Jamie Wingrove fourth aboard Cardigan Z. Laura Renwick and Rembrandt Blue took fifth with Mennell Watson on Outcast sixth.
Laura headed the accumulator in fine style on Un Diams Fontaine, an eight-year-old stallion with Diamant De Semilly/Jalisco B bloodlines acquired in July. Jamie took second on the Casiro I/Landfriese I eight-year-old mare Casianne. Vere Phillipps was third on Skerne Scipio, Tim Page and Elvera claimed fourth, James Fisher and Dino took fifth and Tim Stockdale slotted Upsilone De La Roque into sixth.
Abbe Elliott (nee Burchmore Eames) headed the 1.30m with the small but mighty Berlin/Carthago Z eight-year-old Booming Blue Z, beating Angie Thompson into second place on the Zento eight-year-old Diploma B. Vere was again third on Skerne Scipio.
Vere scored a one-two in the newcomers aboard Pandeur and Entebbe. Charlie White was in third aboard Clover Bay Mariner and Alexandra Somerville-Cotton finished fourth on NPS Dangerous.
Alfie Bradstock and Tiger Bright headed the Foxhunter/grade C from Tim Page and Elvera. Holly Smith took third on CSF Olympic Lady with Clea Phillipps on Night Tide in fourth, Olivia Gent fifth with Centurion V and Vere claiming sixth on Pandeur.
Julie Whibley claimed the 1.05m on Harlequin Joe. Kurtis Malik took second on Sisi Mosa with Debra Hutt on Puzzlement in third, Toni Dimond riding Oris Redding in fourth and Kirsten Stewart aboard Hillswood Karina in fifth.
