William Funnell claimed a 4* 1.45m speed win on the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve/Kroongraaf 13-year-old Billy Angelo, winning by 0.78 sec.
Brits filled three of the top four places. Charlotte Platt claimed third on the Lupicor nine-year-old Colien V and Jess Mendoza eased the Indoctro mare Constance into fourth. Four faults dropped Guy Williams and Casper De Muze to 15th.
Jessica Mendoza slotted the Tornado mare Spirit T into second in Zandhoven’s 4* 1.50m world ranking speed class, finishing 2.26 sec off the pace.
Guy Williams and Carlson took fifth with Charlotte Platt and the promising eight-year-old Padinus stallion Jenson 55 taking ninth.
Jess also featured in the 2* 1.45m world ranking class, taking third on Zahra II, a Kashmir Van Schuttershof 12-year-old. They posted the quickest time, beating the winner by four sec, but at the expense of a rail. Dominic Webb was hot on her heels for fourth on the Chin Chin stallion Whin Whin.
Eight faults in the eight-strong jump-off of the 4* 1.40m dropped Jess and the Mozart Des Hayettes 15-year-old Ramiro De Belle Vue to eighth. Chloe Aston posted just one time fault in round one on Chico for ninth. Anna Power and Chesterfield Z, William Funnell on Billy Cool and Guy Williams aboard Despardieu Van T Kiezelhof all had four faults.
Dominic finished 18th in the 2* 1.20m on Alvatore with the steadiest clear.
