Ella Popely posts a win in Verbier

Ella Popely posted a great victory in the Verbier, Switzerland, winning the 1* 1.30 on the home-bred Luidam 11-year-old Little Luidam by 4.03 sec.

Elliott Gordon finished seventh in Wiener Neustadt, Austria’s 1.45m speed on the Chin Chin 11-year-old Rauhfaser, almost six sec behind the pace. Elliott also took 14th on the Cartani/Calido I eight-year-old Cascadeur 100 in the 1.35m speed.

On the Baltica tour, Ciekocinko, Poland, Stuart Neads and Chaska II finished 12th in the Gold tour 1.40m speed, four faults dropping them from a possible fourth.

British-based South African Genene Burnett took third on Vanda Moet in the five-year-old. Only three reached the second phase, but the pair incurred four faults for third.

Cressy Neads took seventh in the six-year-old on Freya with four faults in round one. And Cressy rode Chinta Van Geluut Z into sixth in the seven-year-old.

Francesca Jones took 11th on Bijoux Valero in the Silver 1m and Ziv Tomer claimed 11th on Quoit OR in the Silver 1.20m.

Jonathan Dixon took fifth in the 2* Van De Valk Hotel medium tour at Roosendaal, Holland on Continio, a Contender/Argentinus 14-year-old stallion. A total of 69 starters contended, and they were 3.67 sec behind the winner.

Jonathan and the Balou Du Rouet seven-year-old Evian netted eighth in the 1* young horse class.
