Louise Whitaker is denied victory twice in Le Touquet

Louise Whitaker took second in the 2* 1.40m on Team Harmony’s selle Francais mare Udget Du Rozel at Le Touquet, France, 2.10 sec behind the winner.

Georgie Crumley claimed seventh spot in the 14-horse decider on Renkum off-Centre/Quick Star gelding Renkum Centre Star with Sian Edwards ninth aboard the Argentinus mare Adriarna and Jess Dimmock 11th on Billy Tortilla.

Louise was also denied victory in the 2* 1.25m, having to settle for second with Cleopatra, a Kannan mare also owned by Team Harmony, 2.60 sec off the pace. Jane Annett and Irco Cruise took fourth.

Jane hit form in the 1.20m speed to take a win on Sligo Hermes Touch to take victory by 0.61 sec. Joanne Whitaker took ninth on Mill River with Sian Edwards in 11th aboard Troo Contest and Sarah Lewis 18th on Benny.

Jane was also third in the 1* 1.30m aboard Cudansa M, 1.92 sec behind the winner. Jess Dimmock and Billy Anderson claimed fifth with Alex Hempleman on Billy Tiffany in 12th and Amy Inglis 14th ridng Amadeouse De Hurtebise.

Four faults in round one denied Dan Moseley a jump-off chance in the seven-year-old with Escapado S and the pair finished 10th. Dan was also 17th on Monsoon Monday.

Lucy Wood picked up fourth in the amateur 1.15m speed on Cristiaan, 3.26 sec behind the winner. Lucy was also 11th on Duc De Lyon in the amateur 1.20m speed. Carla Jane Rolfe took 15th on Talis Du Montois with Polly Shaw just behind in 16th on Golden Grove AIT A.

In Deauville, France, Alex Rident took fourth in the 2* 1.30m in Deauville, France, on Tabasco Des Gres, 3.60 sec in arrears, and Jemma Kirk in 11th on one time fault the day before – finished seventh in the 1* 1.30m speed with Unisson Des Saules, 2.86 sec behind the winner.

Just one time fault denied Alex a jump-off chance in the 2* 1.40m and she finished 17th on Ucello Massuere.
