Laura Renwick is top in Dinard

Laura Renwick was fire in Dinard. Riding Bintang, Laura headed the 5* 1.55m in fine style.

Maxing on her final draw in the nine-horse decider, Laura let the handbrake off and hit top gear. And the Tangelo/Orlando 10-year-old relished the opportunity to gallop in Dinard’s big grass ring and ate up the ground to beat France’s Kevin Staut into second on Elky Van Het Indihof HDC to win by 1.11 sec.

A fraction of a sec – 0.84 sec – prevented Laura from claiming another win. MHS Washington took second in the 5* 1.40m, beaten by Italy’s Emanuele Gaudino on Kentucky VH Neerhof Z.

Lara Whiteway claimed fourth in the 2* 1.45m aboard the Karandasj/Indoctro 11-year-old VDL Groep Alitta, 4.90 sec behind the winner. Skye Higgin took ninth on Quarina De Blondel.

Sam Ward finished sixth in the 1.35m on the Hors La Loi II 13-year-old Wish 2.17 sec off the pace, and also jumped a steady clear in the young horse 1.35m on the Quidam De Revel/Chacco Blue seven-year-old Troy III to take 17th.
