Emma Stoker is best Brit in Knokke's Gold 1.50m Grand Prix


Emma Stoker claimed fifth in the 3* gold 1.50m Small Grand Prix with the Tabasco La Silla 11-year-old Townhead Tallulah on the final day at Knokke Hippique, Belgium. Two withdrew from the jump-off, leaving seven in the second round and only one clear was produced, Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts taking the win on Ustina Sitte. Four faults dropped Emma to fifth.

William Whitaker and Dublin V had five faults.

Emma also claimed second with the Hanovarian seven-year-old Miss Moneypenny in the 2* Silver 1.35m speed, 2.42 sec behind the pace. And Emma slotted second ride Townhead Ballulah into 10th.

Aimee Jones jumped a double clear on the 12-year-old Never Last for seventh in the 2* 1.45m Silver Grand Prix against a field of 81, finishing eight sec behind the pace. Emma and Townhead Campus had four faults in the first round.

Cressy Neads took fifth in the 2* Silver 1.40m Small Grand Prix with the Kannan eight-year-old Elton II, three sec behind the winner, Belgium’s Jos Verlooy on the Balou Du Rouet stallion Balloon – a 13-year-old produced in Britain by Shane Breen. Kayleigh Watts and Charmeur took eighth.

Kayleigh jumped into second in the 1* Bronze 1.25m Small Grand Prix on the seven-year-old Fashion V, just 0.22 sec behind the winner. Nina Barbour and Douglas Delight took sixth in the 17-horse jump-off. Emma Stoker and Cooper S had four faults.

James Fisher took ninth on Dino, a Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve eight-year-old, in the 3* Gold 1.45m.
