Lara Whiteway posts a double victory in Fontainebleau


Lara Whiteway posted a double victory in Fontainebleau, France. She gained another Ladies victory on the consistent Cocos Moon River, winning by two sec. Brits filled four of the top five places. Amy Inglis and Amadeouse De Hurtbeise took second withYazmin Pinchen in fourth on Zodiac Z and Emma Shingles aboard Mirdads Hawa in fifth. Amy and second ride Samayava Ar Park took 11th.

Lara’s second win came in the 1* 1.25m with Bellagio II (pictured), winning by 1.05 sec. Jane Annett and Sligo Hermes Touch took third with James Emblen sixth on Skelwith Lady Deliliah, both jumping double clears.

Anna Power was just 0.04 sec off the pace in the 2* 1.40m speed aboard Chesterfield Z for second place. Brits bunched behind her, Amy Inglis on Every Way in third and Jane Annett with Pallas Masterclass just behind for fourth. Four faults for Henry Turrell on Blaze of Glory dropped them to 13th with Justin Tuff taking 19th on Idocus Van De Bisschop.

Justin took second in the six-year-old Grand Prix with the Cassini I gelding Crocantino of Greenhill Z. Only four made the jump-off, with Justin 0.92 sec in arrears. Four faults in round one put Jane Annett on My Cino in eighth.

Justin was also seventh in the 2* 1.35m with nine-year-old Man from Del Monte. Amy claimed 11th on Wishes. And the eight-year-old Cumana Van Pottelberg took 14th in the 2* 1.30m for Justin.

James headed the 1* 1.35m speed with a 1.05 sec margin on Filou Van Overis. Jane brought Cudansa M into fourth with Yazmin Pinchen on Dominant H in eighth.

Millie Hockenhull netted fourth on Marco Polo Du Preai in the Amateur 1.15m speed, their four faults denying them a win. Lowri Ball and Kandia Van De Brouwershoeve took sixth.

James also claimed fourth in the 1.15m Derby on Winding CH. No clear rounds were produced and it was won on four faults. Kelly Roberts was ninth on Strebor Courage.

Emma Shingles finished sixth in the Amateur 1.20m with Torino, and Lucy Warren slotted Dera B into 13th with a double clear.

In the Amateur 1.15m two-phase, Emily Renouf finished third on Sorraya with Paul George fifth on Vennie Berga Z and Tina Guppy seventh aboard Domingo – all jumping double clear. British-based Russian Arina Abromovich took sixth and eighth on Rainbow and Quick Stepp.
