Joe Whitaker takes a grand prix fourth at Zuidwolde

In Zuidwolde, Netherlands, Joe Whitaker claimed fourth on the Locarno daughter Lola V in the Platinum 1.45m world ranking Grand Prix. Only seven of 50 contended the jump-off with Joe setting the fastest time of the class in typical speedy style. However, a rail down pushed them down to fourth.

Mark Turnbull on Cartouch III and Spencer Roe with Wonder Why both had four in the first round for 16th and 19th. Tracy Priest on Caristo VDL had five faults.

Nicole Pavitt and Old Lodge’s Chellano Z daughter Shahenaz took eighth in the 3* 1.50m world ranking grand prix in Megeve, France.

A jump-off of 12 was yielded from the 60 starters, but two rails down dropped Nicole to eighth. France’s Olivier Robert took the win on Quenelle Du Pye.

In Valkenswaard on the Global Future Champions tour, Alexandra Thornton was ninth in the under 25 1.50m with Charielle with Aimee Jones in 14th on Never Last, both on four faults in round one. And Aimee took 13th in the under 25 1.35/1.40m speed on Lilly 483 on four faults.
