Ben Maher claimed third in the 3* Gold 1.50m with the Casall/Calvaro Z eight-year-old Cliff 67. They were some 6.37 sec in arrears, but this budding new partnership jumped a good double clear. France’s Patrice Delaveau took the win on Leontine Ledimar Z HDC.
Emma Stoker on Townhead Tallulah and Graham Gillespie on Celine took 12th and 13th, both on four faults in round one.
Ellie Hall-McAteer headed the Bronze small 1.25m Grand Prix with a quick, decisive round on the speedy Kannan/Cavalier Royale mare Dazzle, winning by 2.24 sec. Kayleigh Watts on Fashion V finished third.
And Ellie’s sister Jodie claimed second in the Silver 2* 1.40m medium Grand Prix on the Vincenzo/Heartbreaker nine-year-old Colette, just 0.18 sec behind the pace. James Davenport was eighth on Air Travel with Kaylegh in 11th on Charmeur.
Sienna Charles and the Cartani nine-year-old mare Chaitanya 2 took sixth in the 67-strong 1* 1.35m Grand Prix with a double clear.
Sam Hutton and Cantaire O, a Canturo/Voltaire nine-year-old, finished 10th in the Silver 1.45m Grand Prix on one time fault. Stacy Babes and Camillo VDL also posted one time fault for 14th.
