Billy Twomey and Thomas are in the frame at Knokke
Ireland’s Billy Twomey took seventh aboard Michael Bates’ Quidam De Revel nine-year-old Thomas in the 3* 1.45m speed at Knokke. Slower clears earned James Davenport on Cochella 18th, Tim Gredley on Unex Captain Chaos 8 20th, Ben Maher (Tic Tac) 23rd and Harry Charles (Controe) 29th .
Tim Gredley and the Concorde 11-year-old Unex Arantos took seventh in the 2* 1.40m, 1.30 sec behind the winner, Ireland’s Darragh Kenny on Picolo. Sam Hutton and Cantaire took 14th with James Davenport in 21 st on One Inverness in the hotly contended class. Theo Simpson (Touch of Chilli), Emma Stoker (Townhead Campus), Stuart Neads (Chaska II) and Cressy Neads (Townhead Chintan) jumped steady double clears to finish down the line.
Sam Hutton guided Iloica VD Bisschop into sixth in the 3* 1.35m, more than six sec behind the pace.
Emma Stoker featured in the age classes with Bob Young’s team of youngsters. She won the five-year-old on Shariva and took fifth with Cool Cash. Stuart Neads claimed 11th on Lilo.
Emma also claimed third and fourth in the six-year-old riding Pembroke 3 and Everton De Villee. Sam Ward took 12th on Felicite with Graham Gillespie in 17th with a double clear on Calvaro’s Up To Date.
Jodie Hall McAteer took third in the 2* 1.30m aboard Colette, one sec behind the pace. Emma and Miss Moneypenny finished ninth with Charlotte Platt and Colien V in 14th.
Jodie’s sister Ellie, who has just been selected for the children-on-horses European championships, finished ninth in the Bronze 1.20m on Dazzle.
Cressy (Chinta Van Geluut Z), Harry Charles (Valkiry De Dance) and Max Routledge (Sieco) jumped steady double clears in the seven-year-old. Peter Charles (ABC Quantum Cruise) had one time fault and Stacy Babes (Quilimbo) posted two. Max and second ride Chanel IV had four faults.
