Megan Taylor wins the British novice second round at Ashby Show

Megan Taylor, 15, seamlessly switched from ponies to horses and headed the KBIS British novice second round at Ashby Show, Derbyshire, with Capital Him, qualifying for the final at the National Championships, Stoneleigh, in August..

Only six from a field of 31 reached the third and final round against the clock, with Megan posting the winning round by a commanding 19 sec on the Irish-bred six-year-old Capital Him. This gelding with Capitalist/Cavalier Royale bloodlines was started in British novice by Caroline Barnes with Megan taking the ride in January.

Kirsty Hardstaff claimed the second qualifying place on the British-bred Remi Latika, a six-year-old mare by Michael Whitaker’s former top International ride Handel and out of a Contiki mare.
