Sam Ward takes a close second in Knokke on Wish

Sam Ward took second in the 2* 1.30m at Knokke, Belgium, with Wish, the 13-year-old Hors La Loi/Cantus mare finishing just 0.08 sec behind the pace in the mammoth, 112-strong class. Chloe Aston brought Amigo T into fourth with Emma Stoker 16th on Townhead Ballulah and Cressy Neads 19th on Elton II.

Emma claimed fifth on the Cartoon 11-year-old Townhead Campus in the 3* 1.45m speed, 2.49 sec behind the winner. Chloe Aston was 13th on Chico.

Emma also took fifth in the Future Stars seven-year-old on the Stolzenberg/For Pleasure gelding Shelby 12, 1.89 sec behind the pace. Peter Charles was 10th on the Obos Quality/Cruising gelding ABC Quantum Cruise.

Fifth appeared the order of the day for Emma, she was also fift in the five-year-old on Shariva. Stuart Neads was 10th on Lilo. And Emma eased the Clinton six-year-old Cooper S into 10th spot in the Bronze 1* 1.20m.

Sam Hutton took 10th in the 2* 1.40m on Cantaire O, a Canturo/Voltaire nine-year-old, almost two sec behind the winner. Tim Gredley was 21st with a steady double clear on Unex Arantos.

One time fault in round two dropped Anna Wilks down to 16th on Knockout Van’T Paradijs.
