Girls on top!

The British girls were on fire in Ascain, France, with Anna Power and Jemma Kirk lifting the top two places in the 2* 1.40m.

Anna pushed the Chippendale Z 10-year-old Chesterfield Z into victory by 0.58 sec in the 75 starter class. Jemma was close behind with the selle Francais 12-year-old Quelisto for second spot. Anna also took seventh on Blazer B with Philip Spivey and Smirnov in eighth and Alex Rident ninth on Tabasco Des Gres – all posting double clears.

Jemma headed the 2* 1.30m on the French-bred nine-year-old Tchoupi Pironniere, winning by 0.79 sec. Jemma was also 11th on Carbani with Anna Power just behind in 12th on Bon Jovi.

Jemma took eighth in Wednesday’s six-year-old speed with Kiara De La Pomme with a steady clear, seven sec behind the pace. And they moved up to sixth in Thursday’s equivalent.
