Abbie Daw takes a commanding win in the pony discovery at Moores Farm


Abbie Daw commandingly took victory in the Haygain pony discovery second round at Moores Farm EC, Gloucestershire, on Forest Charlie. Solihull, Warwickshire-based Abbie, 14, and the eight-year-old gelding secured the win by an impressive 7.63 sec in the 10-pony decider.

Eve Stokes, 15, claimed the second spot on on the nine-year-old mare Park Chanel. Victoria Gilder started her 15th birthday celebrations a day early with the third qualifying place on the eight-year-old Coshla Mid-Knight.

Five treble clears were realised to guarantee a place in the final at the National Championships, Stoneleigh, in August. Isabella Litchfield Gomes took fourth with Apollo VII and fifth was awarded to Stephanie Brownbill and Santa Cruz V.
