Kallum Fletcher is on top form to take the Silver League qualifier at Crofton Manor

Kallum Fletcher and Kits Coty Stud’s ultra-consistent Disco III headed the Silver League qualifier at Crofton Manor in fine style.

After firing a warning shot the previous day with a 1.20m second place just 0.02 sec behind trainer Julian Mincher on Risk It, they went one better 24 hours later. They set a lightning fast, unbeatable round from the second draw to secure the premium spot, winning with 0.65 sec in hand.

Kallum, 15, has ridden the 10-year-old Disco since November 2014 and the partnership quickly gelled into a winning machine, with wins up to 1.20m level, including the POYS children-on-horses grand prix.

The grey gelding started life in Yorkshire. He was bred by John Whitaker and is by Ublesco – a former International ride for Robert Whitaker – and out of the Atlantus mare It’s Smartie, a winner ofr Malcolm Pyrah and Louise and Robert Whitaker. Disco started competitive life in British novice and discovery with Joanne Whitaker before moving to Kits Coty Stud.

The top three qualify for the Silver League semi-final. Tony Pearson netted second on Arash, a Rash R/Quick Star 11-year-old with Rachel Horton and the Canaletto/Quidam De Revel 12-year-old Quidelle Du Reverdy in third.
