Shane Breen wins on the opening day at Sopot, Poland


Hickstead-based Irishman Shane Breen won the opening day’s feature 1.50m speed at Sopot 5*, Poland, with Bina Ford’s Acoustik Solo Du Baloubet. The pair took the win by a slender 0.06 sec from Poland’s Jaroslaw Skrzycznski on Crazy Quick.

Tim Stockdale took 13th on Erasmus Van De Heffinck five sec behind the winner. Spencer Roe on Wonder Why and Douglas Duffin with Quidam B Z posted steady clears.

Shane also slotted Tracy Priest’s Irco Mena/Tinka’s Boy 10-year-old Market Irminka into fifth in the 1.45m. Jessica Mendoza posted a steady double clear on Sam De Bacon for 23rd. Robert Smith on Ilton and Spencer Roe with Chaccomo Agostini both incurred four faults in the second phase.

Douglas Duffin was 10th in the opening 1.40m speed with the Chellano Z 13-year-old Chiquito Z.
