Holly Gillott is on fire at BS Area 15

Holly Gillott was on fire at British Showjumping’s Area 15 show at Allerton Park, North Yorkshire, doubling up with Foxhunter second round and 1.40m wins.

She claimed both HOYS tickets wth the top two places in the Foxhunter second round.

The consistent Grennanstown Sarco Luxhill, an Irish-bred gelding bought as a loose-jumping three-year-old at Millstreet, took the top spot.

“He’s big and rangy, at least 17hh, but he’s super-careful, I can trust him to gallop and take out strides,” said Holly, on the Shannondale Sarco St Ghyvan/Olympic Lux six-year-old.

The eight-year-old Quality Old Joker, another Irish-bred this time by Obos Quality 004, took second place for Holly.

Louise Whitaker with Udget Du Rozel took third with Rchard Barton on Donata in fourth and Danielle Farnsworth aboard Cornascriebe Ferro in fifth.

Holly was in unbeatable form. She rode PLS Halo Diamond, another Irish eight-year-old, to take the 1.40m in style. Paul Barker was in second place on Happy Boy and Holly was also fifth with Lammy Beach. Stevie Crosby was third on TGF Rubin and Louise Whitaker took fourth on Cuata.

Paul dominated the 1.30m, taking the top three places with Sandors Legacy, U2 II and Lux Fabulous. And Paul also took the top two in a Foxhunter/1.20m class on El Bandini and U2.

Judy Blackmore topped the other Foxhunter/1.20m on Temple What’s It with second going to Josh O’Hara on Hawthorn Salsa and Sally Swiers on Millfield Longsocks third.

Jonathan Dixon and Comona I headed the 1.25m from Sally and Millfield Longsocks. Emerson Sender and Contedro finished third.

Harrison Shaw and the speedy TB Nora R triumphed in the Connollys Red Mills newcomers/1.10m from Ria Ginley on The Piano Man. Gail Smith on Lachain Lass took third. Ria and The Piano Man were also second in the initial newcomers/1.10m, won by Sarah Russell and Annie VII. Millie Allen and SSH Leagh took third.

Sophie Sheprdson headed the Buckaroo Equine 1.05m on Park Pippin with Sophie Neasham in second on Twingo III. Sally Dearing eased Pandora’s Sunsrise won the tacklockers.com novice from Clarissa Kevane, in second on Knockans Belter. Liam Jones and Gigolo VI took third.

In the Panda Bamboo Flooring 95cm, Samantha McNicholas claimed the top spot on Starlux. Anneli Larsson was second on Southburn Shakira with Margaret Kendal in third on Za Za Sa. Anneli and Shakira was also second in the 90cm, won by Chloe Lowther and Vanlencin LR. Sophie Gloag and Zorro XIV took third.

Anneli did get her own victory, winning the British novice on Miss Southburn Second Chance. Elkie Peters was second with Ghylloria and James Taylor took third on Gubion Pepperia. Anneli and Mss Southborn Second Chance also took second in the Graham Heath Equine debut novice, won by Julie Richardson and Sweet Wall Tigger.
