Kayleigh Watts is best Brit on the Baltica tour
Kayleigh Watts was on a roll on the Baltica Spring tour, Poland, taking a win and a second. Winde came to the fore in the 3* 1.40m and second qualifier for the Longines ranking class, taking victory for Kayleigh by just a squeak – 0.02 sec.
And Kayleigh claimed second in the 3* 1.30m on Blush, 0.63 sec behind the pace. Dan Neilson and Harry X slotted into fourth.
In the big 1.50m and second qualifier to the world ranking grand prix Brits were out of luck. Graham Gillespie on Reve De Bacon (14th), Dan Neilson with Newton Nickel (18th), Robert Smith on Bavi (22nd) and Carron Nicol (23rd) with Fantaland all incurred four faults.
In the 1* 1.30m, Bekky Gillespie was top Brit in fifth on Tout In Love with Kayleigh and Kondy taking 13th with a steady double clear.
Francesca Jones and Bijoux Valentina took fifth in the 1* 1.20m speed some eight sec behind the winner. Sanda Nicol and Iris finished 10th. In the 1.05m, Jamie Gornall took seventh on Charlotte, Francesca and Bijoux were eighth and Victoria Delville-Cutts finished 10th and 14th on Quality Mark and Calypsos Handel Million.
