Graham Gillespie takes a close second in the 1.40m on the Baltica Spring tour

Graham Gillespie took second in the Gold tour 3* 1.40m speed with the Kashmir Van Schuttershof 11-year-old Reve De Bacon, 0.70 sec behind the winner, Germany’s Friso Bormann on Crazy Chara. Germany’s Marc Bettinger (Ravisante De Pleville) took third with the USA’s Beezie Madden in fourth on Coach. Carron Nicol and the seven-year-old stallion Jaguar VD Berghoeve jumped a steady clear for 18th with Dan Neilson on Major Delacour in 23rd and Robert Smith (Bavi) 27th – both with steady clears.

Dan and Newton Nickel posted a double clear for eighth in the 1.45m with Carron and Fantaland 15th and Graham aboard Celine 17th – both on clear and four. Jamie Gornall on Unistop had four faults in round one.

Dan also claimed eighth in the Gold tour 3* 1.35m speed with Harry X. Robert Smith and Ilton posted one time fault for 22nd.

Kayleigh Watts took third in the six-year-old final on Colton Playtime, almost four sec behind the winner. Carron took sixth in the seven-strong jump-off on Jumping Jack Flash Z with four faults in the jump-off. Carron also finished eighth on Finnegan D and 13th with Falanta, both with four faults in round one. Jamie also had a round one four faults on Clintadel for 15th.

Ten jumped off in the seven-year-old final with Brits taking the lower placings. Graham took eighth on Cayo Z on a jump-off score of four, Jamie and Ekkies Son finished ninth and Kayleigh on Fashion V was 10th. Just outside the jump-off were Dan on Cirrus and Strides Hattons’s Treasure for 12th and 14th.

Carron and Moonraker took ninth in the five-year-old final.

Francesca Jones took seventh on Bijoux Vincenza in the silver tour 1m, with Jamie in ninth on Charlotte and Victoria Delville-Cutts on Quality Mark and Calypsos Handel Million in 12th and 13th.
