Emma-Jo Slater posts a hat-trick at Bucks Area 39
Emma-Jo Slater continued on her incredible run of wins with a hat-trick at Bucks Area 39 show held at Addington Manor, after taking four wins at Herts County the day before.
Cosmic Mojo, a British-bred Renkum Valentino/Denver seven-year-old owned by Mick Fortune, headed the newcomers for Emma-Jo. Simon Crippen brought Temple What’s The Question into second with Henrietta Collier in third on El Nino VI – who went on to win the Foxhunter.
Emma-Jo claimed a one-two in the 1.05m, heading the class on the well bred nine-year-old Ard VDL Douglas/Quickstar mare Cenabresse and taking second with the Diamond Roller eight-year-old Rockhill Girl. Morgan Enright and Tracey Z were third with Charlotte Edwards and Cora Belle fourth.
The third win for Emma-Jo came in the tacklockers.com 1m novice on the Belgian-bred Roven daughter Zinanda. Claire Bowman on the Dutch eight-year-old Damiro took second. Emma Ashworth and Cookstown Ginger Spice took third with Jasmin Dawson and She’s Just Juniper fourth.
Jordan Barnes notched up a double victory with 1.25m and 1.15m wins. The Cruisings Micky Finn nine-year-old Its Mickey raced ahead in the 1.25m to take the win, pushing Emma-Jo and the 17-years-young Simply Billie Bunter into second. Orla Morrin and Calme took third.
Zamiro, a Dutch 12-year-old, claimed Jordan’s second win, topping the 1.15m members cup from Lottie Tutt and LWS Cornetto. Christopher Dempsey and Cornado C took third with Orla and Calme fourth.
John Chambers and the 11-year-old skewbald Witchcombe Silver Dollar won the KBIS British novice from second-placed Emma McGlynn on the Billy Mexico/Goodtimes five-year-old Jalisco IV. Lauren Jays eased Bruno Blue into third with Claire Bowman and Judy Ross’ Rosgan Carita in fourth.
