Graham Lovegrove was best Brit in the Lisbon 3* 1.60m Grand Prix aboard Russ Underwood’s Casparall. The 10-year-old Holsteiner by with Casall/Calgary bloodlines, making a big step up, jumped a super clear – one of only six over a big course. But four of the four faulters from the first round moved ahead in the 11-horse jump-off as the grey came home on eight in the second round to take ninth.
Tim Wilks posted four faults in round one on Quelbora Merze for 14th and Anna Edwards dropped to 23rd on Blazer B with eight faults.
Anna and Chesterfield Z took sixth in the 1.40m 1.45 sec behind the winner, Italy’s Linda Bratomi on Chanel. Louise Saywell on Patrol V and Laura Robinson with Lombelle both incurred four faults in the second phase to drop down the line.
