Guy Williams takes a good second in Bourg en Bresse

They were a sec off the pace, but Guy Williams put in a great performance on his veteran campaigner Golddigger to take a good second in the 4* accumulator with Joker at Bourge En Bresse, France. 17 riders scored maximum points.

Yazmin Pinchen was 12th on the Con Air 11-year-old Con Chilli in the hotly contended 1.45m speed, won by Australia’s James Peterson-Robinson on Riboy D’Alimat. A fast four faults dropped Guy Williams and Casper De Muze from third to 20th.

Four faults from British-based Irishman Anthony Condon and the Hales family’s Arko stallion son Aristio prevented them from climbing any higher than 13th in the 4* 1.60m Grand Prix.

France’s Mathieu Billott and Shiva D’Amaury topped the eight-horse jump-off with two unlucky riders jumping clear in round one but incurring one time fault for ninth and 10th. Guy and Titus had five faults.
