Julie Andrews takes a double in Lier

In Lier, Belgium, Julie Andrews scored a great double on Emelie Marsh’s Baloubet Du Rouet 14-year-old Canora. She headed Thursday’s 2* 1.30m by more than one and a half sec. And 24 hours later, she repeated the win, again taking the 1.30m, but on this occasion by 0.61 sec.

In the 1.20m, Julie finished 14th on the Indorado eight-year-old Damion Star with Mark Turnbull 18th on the Lupicor eight-year-old Ashton Dakota.

Joe Clee was fourth in the 1.40m on Justin Van De Zandhoeve, a seven-year-old stallion by Emerald Van T Ruyters, with Mark Turnbull and the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve nine-year-old Cartouch III.

Joe took 10th in the seven-year-old with the Zurich gelding Junior Van Het Hulst and finished 19th on the Cabrio Van De Heffinck six-year-old Kandy Hof Ter Zeedycke in the five and six-year-old.

Portia Howard claimed sixth in the 1.35m with Ino V Bareelhof, and finished fourth in the seven-year-old with the Kashmir Van Schuttershof mare Don’t Touch Du Bois.
