Anna Edwards takes a third win at Valkenswaard

On the final day of Valkenswaard’s three day CSI1/2*, Anna Edwards scored her third win in a s many days, on the Chippendale Z/Sir Caletto 10-year-old Chesterfield Z, topping the 1* Grand Prix by 0.32 sec in the 14-horse jump-off.

It rounded off a fantastic show for Anna, who also won with Bina Ford’s Darling HDH and took two seconds on new ride Bon Jovi.

Scott Brash and the Comme D’Api gelding Hello Mr President headed the seven-year-old final with 0.43 sec to spare from Bertram Allen and Etoile De Loma.

“I’m very proud of Hello Mr President,” said Scott.

Tim Wilks and Elizabeth took seventh in the 16-strong jump-off with Trevor Breen and Enterprise. Mark Armstrong was 24th on Daniella.

In the 2* 1.40m, Maja Burnell took second 0.90 sec off the pace on the Carnaval Pleasure/Burggraaf nine-year-old Carnaval Komombo with Ben Maher in fourth on the Orlando/Lux 10-year-old Boomerang. Alexandra Thornton on Caballero 84 took 12th in the 1.35m.

British-based Irishman Trevor Breen took seventh in the 2* 1.45m Grand Prix on the 12-year-old Cruising stallion Oldtown KC two and half sec behind the winner, Jessica Springsteen and Tiger Lily. Ben Maher and the Andiamo 12-year-old Aristo Z posted a fast time but with a rail down to drop from third to 13th. Tim Wilks also completed the jump-off on four faults with Une De Pretemps for 18th place. Jessica Mendoza jumped a clear in round one but withdrew Spirit T from the jump-off.

Anna Wilks and the consistent Toulon/Calato gelding L Primero Di Gala headed the five-year-old final with almost five sec to spare. Ben Maher and new ride F One USA, a Toulon/Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve stallion, took fifth in the six-year-old final with Trevor Breen 13th on the Washington/Lux stallion Franklin.

Camilla Bingham and Constanza took ninth in the 1.15m.
