Nicole Pavitt posts her biggest win in Bethune
A delighted Nicole Pavitt posted the biggest win of her career so far with Bethune’s 3* world ranking 1.50m Grand Prix. She was just a tenth of a sec faster with the Chellano Z 11-year-old Shahenaz to beat Ireland’s Antrhony Condon on the Hales family’s home-bred Arko stallion son Aristio Z.
“It's the best feeling ever, words can’t describe how happy I am,” said Nicole.
Douglas Duffin took fifth on Quidam BZ in the 11-horse jump-off with Jessie Drea on Mullaghdrin Touch The Stars in sixth with a double clear and Louise Pavitt on Unex Chamberlain Z in ninth on four faults in the jump-off. Joe Whitaker and Lola finished 13th with four faults in round one.
Nicole and the Cornet Obolensky 10-year-old Areeb OL took third in the 1.35m just half a sec behind the pace. Jessie Drea took sixth on the eight-year-old Dekato and Jemma Kirk with Carbani finished 10th. Joe Whitaker was 15th on Ivory Ter Doorn with Jamie Wingrove and the Kannan eight-year-old Kannzo Z in 18 th, Douglas Duffin on Lui Viton 20th, Justin Tuff with Cumana Van Pottelberg 21st and Louise Pavitt’s Berlin in 22nd.
Joe took second on Lavarno in the 1.40m just 0.24 sec behind the winner. Jemma Kirk and Quelisto claimed seventh, Anthony Condon and Chinook II took 11th, James Davenport was 13th on Catinka, Steven Franks with Brutus III took 17th and Matt Sampson eased Cristobal 21 into 21st.
