Laura Renwick is the fastest lady in Windsor

With the final round in a hot, nine-horse decider, Laura Renwick secured victory in the Falcon Stakes winning round at Royal Windsor by 1.21 sec on the Diamant De Semilly nine-year-old Heliodor Hybris.

John Whitaker’s early lead on Old Lodge’s Lord of Arabia was demoted to fifth as rounds got faster and more daring. Italy’s Lorenzo de Luca claimed second on Halifax Van Het Kluizebos and Rodrigo Pessoa eased Winsom into third. Robert Smith’s impressive stallion Ilton took fourth.

Laura was best Brit in the Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes for the King’s Cup with fourth on Bintang.

Eight clears came forward over Kelvin Bywater’s testing 1.55m track with Laura wipng more than two sec off Joe Davison’s opener on Calimero Vant Roth. Her lead was short-lived. The USA’s Kent Farrington took the vertical after the double at an incredible angle to land the class on Creedance.

Canada’s Tiffany Foster and Victor took second some 1.60 sec behind the pace. Italy’s PiergiorgioBucci used his final draw to slot Casallo Z into third.

A risky gallop to the last paid dividends for Maja Burnell, 17. She won the Royal Windsor amateur 1.40m grand prix on the Carmargue nine-year-old Crona CR, already a winner earlier in the week.

Norway’s Sunniva Sunde and Vienna took second in the seven-strong jump-off. Tess Carmichael and the Air Jordan Z 11-year-old Atlantis PP Z claimed third with Scarlett and Sienna Charles in fourth and fifth on Sacree Du Rouet and Chaitanya Z.
