John Daker is best Brit in Valkenswaard


In Valkenswaard, John Daker was best Brit in the 2* 1.45m speed, which carried world ranking points, taking seventh on Credit Card six sec behind the pace. Harrie Smolders won on Aiyetoro.

Tim Wilks topped Tuesday’s 2* 1.35m with the Diamant De Semilly/Cash eight-year-old Inca Boy Van’t Vianahof with almost a sec in hand. Alexandra Thornton was fifth on Quileta Du Domaine with Jessica Mendoza sixth on Toy Boy. Nick Benterman brought Adico into 14th.

On Monday, Jessica eased the Mozart Des Hayettes 15-year-old Ramiro De Belle Vue into fifth in the 2* 1.40m with Nick Benterman and the Corland/Indoctro 12-year-old Zorland D in ninth. Jessica also took 11th in the big tour world ranking 1.45m on the eight-year-old Toy Boy.

Nick also picked up fourth in the 1* 1.20m on the Couleur Rubin 11-year-old Caravaggio.

Tim and the Zirocco Blue VDL/Sydney mare Elizabeth took 13th in Monday’s seven-year-old 1.35m, and fifth on Tuesday, with John Daker slotting the Heartbreaker mare Sweet Candy into ninth. Tim also took ninth in Monday’s 1* 1.35m on the seven-year-old Coquin De Coquerie Z.

Anna Wilks was ninth in Monday’s five-year-old and third on Tuesday on L Primero Di Gala.
