Douglas Duffin is best Brit in the Drammen grand prix

Douglas Duffin was best Brit in Drammen’s 3* 1.55m Grand Prix, taking third with the Quasimodo Z 11-year-old stallion Quidam BZ, two sec behind the pace in the 10-strong jump-off.  James Billington was sixth on VDL Cartello and Joe Whitaker and the Locarno daughter Lola V took eighth.

British-based Irishmen also featured in the final stages.  Richard Howley and the Tygo nine-year-old Chinook took seventh with Dave Quigley in ninth on EIS Isaura, an eight-year-old with Tinkas Boy/Darco bloodlines.

Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet and Quasi Modo Z claimed the honours.  Kerry Brennan and Wellington M finished on four faults and dropped to 21st.

Douglas and the Lancer 3 11-year-old Lui Viton took second just 0.37 sec in arrears in the 1* Silver tour 1.25m.
