Jake Saywell wins the world ranking 1.45m in Le Touquet

In Le Touquet 3*, France, Brits hit immediate form, taking three of the top four places in the 1.45m speed carryng world ranking points. Jake Saywell posted a win on the Cicero Z 10-year-old Grand Cru Van Paemel, finishing half a sec in front of British-based Irishman Shane Breen on Bina Ford’s 10-year-old Acoustik Solo Du Baloubet.

Ben Maher brought Aristo Z, an Andiamo/Flamenco De Semilly 12-year-old initially produced by Barry Dove, into third with Louise Pavitt and the 11-year-old Nonstop mare Fiona Van Het Lemmenshof in fourth. Tim Stockdale and Fleur De L’Aube took 10th and Steven Franks was 15th on Brutus III.

A bunch of Brits finished in the frame in the 3* 1.35m. Matt Sampson was the best in seventh on the Coronado 13-year-old Cecilia with Nicole Pavitt in eighth on the Untouchable Z 10-year-old Ultimate Z and 12th on the Douglas eight-year-old Doucardi. Guy Williams was ninth on Casper De Muze and Jemma Kirk on Carbani took 13th. Steven Franks and the Diamant De Semilly 12-year-old Abdul Aziz took 18th with Louise Pavitt on the nine-year-old Berlin in 19th and Tim Stockdale (Tornado Des Monts) 20th.

Sophie Fawcett eased Quite Cadiz into fourth in the 1* 1.30m with Sam Ward in eighth on the Hors La Loi II 13-year-old Wish and 16th on the Quidam De Revel 12-year-old Quality II.

Lulu Warren and the Ultimo 11-year-old Alex V/D Molen was sixth in the 1* 1.20m.

On day one at Mantes Le Jolie, France, Alex Hempleman and Billy Republic, a Cevin Z/Billy Congo six-year-old, jumped double clear for equal first in the six-year-old 1.20m class. And Alex also netted 10th in the 1.30m on the Vingino/Heartbreaker nine-year-old Cassini II.
