James Billington is best Brit in Norway

May 5, 2016

In Drammen, Norway, James Billington was just 0.23 sec in arrears to take second in the 3* gold tour 1.50m on the Quaprice X/Jus De Pomme 10-year-old stallion Baltic VDL.  Sweden’s Victoria Wallenstam and Capitano Paul Z claimed the win.  British-based Irishman Dave Quigley finished sixth on the Tinkas Boy/Darco eight-year-old mare EIS Isaura.

Kerry Brennan jumped clear on Wellington M but didn’t jump off to take equal 11th with three others.  One time fault prevented Ireland’s Richard Howley on Chinook and Douglas Duffin on Quidam B Z from joining the jump-off, putting them 17th and 19th.

Kerry netted second in the gold tour 1.35m with the Warrant/Jokinal de Bornival eight-year-old Dynamic III just 0.12 sec behind the pace.  James Billington and the Cardento/Nimmerdor eight-year-old stallion Dakar VDL took eighth.

Douglas Duffin was fourth on the 11-year-old Lui Viton in the silver tour 1* 1.30m

Liane Smith took third and 10th on the two Verdi six-year-olds Flintstone De Ness and Ferdi M in the 1* young horse class.
