Anthony Condon and Aristio are the stars in Eschweiler

British-based Irishman Anthony Condon posted a great win in the feature Diamond tour 2* grand prix on John, Pat and Lisa Hales’ Aristio, their home-bred 10-year-old son of Arko. The classy stallion was a sec in front of his nearest rival despite the inclement weather on the final day of jumping.

“It had snowed on and off all day and it was snowing as I set off for the jump-off,” said Anthony, after topping the 55-strong class.

Geoff Billington and the 11-year-old ELO took ninth.

Graham Gillespie took fifth in the concluding Last Chance table C 1.40m speed on the Calvaro nine-year-old Tout In Love.
