Joe Clayton has a Millioninmind

On Lummen’s Spring Tour, Joe Clayton topped the Big Tour 3* 1.40m by 0.33 sec with Steve and Caroline Barnes’ promising Millioninmind, an Ard VDL Douglas/Glidawn Diamond nine-year-old they purchased in Ireland as a three-year-old.

Matt Sampson was top Brit in the 1.50m Grand Prix, taking fifth on Coronado/Caletto 13-year-old Cecilia in the 12-horse jump-off. The USA’s Alec Lawlor claimed victory on Agamemnon.

One time fault in round one prevented Shane Breen from making the jump-off with Tango d’Ecry. Time was an issue for a few riders, both Jake Saywell on Braveheart and Emma O’Dwyer on Echo de Laubry incurred five faults each.

Jordan Thompson claimed second in the Small Tour 1.30m on Christine Spanner’s Theodor/Cavaletto 12-year-old Topflight True Carlo. And Jordan finished eighth in the 1.35m on the Cayetano 11-year-old Cartier with Joe Clayton on the eight-year-old Cally V in 12th.

British-based Irishman David Simpson claimed fourth in the seven-year-old final on the Catoki/Cassini I stallion Keoki.
