Geoff Luckett takes another win in Lanaken


Geoff Luckett made Sunday a winning one with a 1.40m victory on Sharon Baldwin and Meadow Stud’s consistent 10-year-old stallion Cash Point. James Fisher took ninth here on the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve eight-year-old Dino and took10th in the 1.35m on Devonte, another eight-year-old by Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve.

Four faults in round one prevented James Billington (VDL Cartello) and Joe Clee (Gamko S) from contending the 3* 1.50m Grand Prix, won by The Netherlands’ Gert Jan Bruggink on Vampire in a seven-horse jump-off.

Joe eased Kandy Hof Ter Zeedycke, a six-year-old Cabrio Van De Heffinck/Nonstop mare, into fourth in the young horse 1.30m with James in seventh on the Bugatti VDL/Chin Chin six-year-old VDL Friso SMH.

Tim Wilks netted second on the Stakkato mare Shakira in the 3* 1.30m with Ireland’s Eoin Gllagher in fifth on Loughview Diamond Lux and Emma Slater in sixth on Crack Van Overis Z.

Abbie Elliott netted fourth on the Lupicor 13-year-old Wilandri E in the Under 25 1.45m with Ellie Meager in sixth with the Calato 11-year-old stallion Cassius III in the 14-strong jump-off. And Abbie also took fourth in the 1* 1.30m on the Lupicor/Casco Casti Anera.

Greg Taylor took fourth on the Warrant/Zeus seven-year-old mare Esunja in the 1.20m with Abbe in sixth on the Belgian-bred Ilena VD Bisschop.
