Olivia Poole is best Brit on the MET tour


Olivia Poole was best placed Brit on the Gold tour in Oliva Nova’s MET3 tour. She took ninth in the world ranking 1.45m on Corlando of Cavallini, an Orlando 14-year-old and former ride of Clark Glasgow. And in the 1.35m, she finished 12th on Zoverla (pictured) after lowering a rail in the jump-off. Ireland’s Clem McMahon continued on his good run of form to head the Gold 1.30m on Indian River Van Perschroeven.

Alice Watson topped the Silver 1.25m on Billy IOU with half a sec to spare. Carmen Edwards, a winner earlier in the week, took second on Zarissa in the Silver Table C speed 1.30m, one a half sec in arrears.

Megan James and Dumolga, a Dutch-bred Conterno Grande eight-year-old, took third in the Bronze accumulator with Sarah Williams on Calvaro Star in fourth and Nina Barbour’s Douglas Delight sixth.

Tony French netted third in the Bronze 1.40m on Kinsale Houdini and Megan James was fifth in the Bronze 1.25m on San Diego III. Sarah Williams took seventh in the Bronze accumulator on Wishful.
