A new show jumping championships is unveiled for 2016

A new showjumping championships is unveiled for 2016. Organisers of the Game Fair, which is Britain’s largest and most prestigious countryside event, have announced a series of qualifiers to be run at eight of the premiere county and agricultural shows. First-round qualifying competitions for Connolly’s Red Mills Senior Newcomers and Horse & Hound Foxhunter are to be held at:

Hertfordshire County 28-29th May. Northumberland County Show 30th May. Rutland County Show 5th June. South of England Show 9th to 11th June. Royal Three Counties Show 17- 19th June. North Yorkshire County Show 19th June. Royal Cheshire County Show 21-22nd Royal Norfolk Show 29- 30th June. Ashby Agricultural Show 10th July.

Final Wildcard qualifier in each class taking place at The Game Fair itself the day before the Championship, on Saturday 30th July. Riders will be competing to secure a coveted slot at the inaugural Game Fair Showjumping Championships that will be run on Sunday the 31st July, the final day of the three-day event at the magnificent Ragley Hall in Warwickshire.

“Six competitors in each class will be in with a chance of winning exceptional prize money at the Game Fair Showjumping Championships, held for the first time this year at Ragley Hall,” explains Tony Wall, Show Director of the Game Fair. “All the qualifying competitions and the Championships will be held on grass in line with the ethos of the Game Fair and are fully supported by British Showjumping.
