Ireland are sixth in the Al Ain Nations Cup and Britain finish ninth

Ireland finished sixth in the Al Ain Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup on 24 faults. Anthony Condon, on his Nations Cup debut with Aristio (pictured), posted a magnificent double clear - one of only two - and, together with a round two clear from Dermott Lennon and Fleur IV, helped them move from eighth in round one, adding only four faults to their round one score of 20. The scores are: Brian Kinane/Javas Keltic Mist 8/4, Anthony Condon/Aristio 0/0, Marion Hughes/Can Ya Makan (13)/(5) and Dermott Lennon/Fleur IV 12/0). Britain took ninth on 22 faults from round one: Joe Clayton/Conman JX 1, Joe Davison/Calimero Van't Roth 13, Jessie Drea/Mullaghdrin Touch The Stars (17) and Emma O'Dwyer/HHS Figero 8. France won on 16 faults and their final rider did not have to start. Qatar took second on 18 faults with Switzerland third on 19. In the earlier 1.45m, Joe Davison (Vennoot), Joe Clayton (Millioninmind) and Anthony Condon (Balzac) incurred four faults each and Emma O'Dwyer (Echo De Laubry) finished on eight faults. Switzerland's Edwin Smits (Dandiego) won.
