At WEF, Wellington, on the first day of week 5, Doda De Miranda and Ad Nouvelle Europe Z (pictured) topped the Douglas Elliman 1.45m classic. Ireland's Cian O'Connor was third on Crespo and Nick Skelton jumped a steady clear on Gypsy King to be placed down the line. The 80-horse speed track was built by Britain's London 2012 course-designer Bob Ellis, who will be building the rest of the week's courses.
Stacey Babes rode a steady clear to be placed in the 1.40m on Caius and George Whitaker was third in the five-year-olds on Luigi.
